A stay with a
history to tell
The Arrábida Heritage is located at Quinta das Conselheiras in Azeitão. It's a charming space surrounded by nature. The simplicity and comfort of our rooms create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, with views of the garden and the pool. The Quinta boasts a unique landscape of the Arrábida Natural Park, from the vineyards to the imposing mountain range.
This property has a story to tell, starting in the early 17th century as the property of a family close to King D. João V and the future king, his son D. José I, by a Judge of the Supreme Court who took care of the 'named traitors of the Kingdom' - the Távora family and the Dukes of Aveiro. Later, it belonged to a King D. João VI Counselor Judge who had three daughters, all very powerful and influential in the court and the region, and who eventually gave the Quinta its name when the property was divided due to the passage of the road that connects Azeitão to Portinho da Arrábida and Cabo Espichel, hence the current name of Quinta das Conselheiras. In turn, a grandson of this Counselor Judge, son of a 'Conselheira' named Joaquim Pedro de Oliveira Martins, a writer and essayist of great national relevance in the late 19th century. Finally, and a few generations later, this Quinta produced an illustrious Master of Classical Equitation in Europe, Master Nuno de Oliveira. The Quinta remained in the family, and nowadays, it is owned by a cousin of the original owners.
The mansion, over the centuries, has undergone several architectural interventions and will continue to evolve with careful requalification, dedicated to charming tourism, with all the amenities and services that this legacy requires.
Currently, Quinta das Conselheiras is an exclusive resort with various amenities, although some facilities are still under construction, while others are already operational.
This venture comprises various types of accommodation, a clubhouse, an equestrian center, and a Lusitano stud farm

At this moment it is equipped with two rooms with 25 m2 with quite ample wc and with a window overlooking the mountain. All rooms have private access to the garden and the outdoor swimming pool.
